Scott is a climber
Becca is a climber
They met at stone gardens climbing gym in February of 2013
Between routes Becca and Scott discussed work, life and tech gossip (as you do in Seattle). Apple had recently released their version of maps. As an avid Google Maps user, Becca was less than impressed. Scott was a Google Maps developer at the time and happy to hear Becca trash talk Apple Maps. Needless to say, they hit it off!
and had their first date on March 1st, 2013 at the fremont abbeY

The acoustic session by candlelight was a memorable evening for Becca and Scott. Some of their favorite musicians were there (Pepper Proud and Daniel Blue).

time passed
Through ups and downs, they grew closer together. They supported each other through some big life changes - like Scott buying a house (and immediately quitting his job at Google to be 'funemployed') and Dr. Becca defending her thesis (and immediately leaving to travel Southeast Asia for 3 months alone).
and on February 23rd, 2018 He asked, she said 'yes'!
To Becca's dismay, Scott asked Becca to meet him on the beach before going to dinner with family (they were already late for their reservation). Scott was insistent that Becca meet him there and after much protest she conceded. With mom and sisters visiting from out of town, Becca started to realize what was up (especially since Scott is NEVER late for dinner). Scott got down on one knee and Becca said 'yes'!
